Panoramic wallpapers

Born at the beginning of the 19th century, panoramic wallpapers were an exclusive French creation. Made from thousands of carved wood-blocks, they were very successful in France and worldwide, until the advent of photography. After carefully selecting our patterns from the rich collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris (and other museums and private collections), we undertake, with care and love, a meticulous restoration to give them a new, contemporary life.

Exceptional panoramic wallpapers

Our historical panoramic wallpapers

Dating from the 19th century, our panoramic wallpapers were designed and manufactured by the Dufour (or Dufour et Leroy) and Desfossé & Karth manufactures, which were very famous manufactures at that time and contemporaries of the Zuber manufacture, still in activity today. Our vintage panoramic wallpapers are re-editions of historical murals kept in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Our workshop has patiently restored them over many months to enhance their full beauty. The themes used are very varied: jungle panoramic wallpapers, tropical-style panoramic wallpapers, floral panoramic wallpapers, panoramic wallpapers of monumentslandscapes...

Their designs notably pay a true homage to nature, birds (peacocks in particular), trees, lush forests, architecture (monuments of Paris or Italy for example) with precision in the drawing and incredible richness of colors, making these works of paper true paintings. We also offer our panoramic wallpapers in black and white (also known as monochrome). Finally, in order to best suit your project, our workshop offers a service of personalization, allowing the order of tailor-made panoramic wallpapers, all in dimensions, framing and scale. Wallpapers can be found in “castle”-style or, conversely, in contemporary style, in any case, each of them is a unique piece of decor that will magnify the decoration of your room, living room, office or bedroom, as well as an outstanding historical piece of art that will carry, in your home, the genius of French decorative arts.
